Computer Repair, Service & Data Waiver
I authorise Northland Technology technician(s) to perform work on my computer. I understand that Northland Technology technicians have been trained to perform computer hardware and software work, but Northland Technology is not an authorised service dealer. Further, I agree to release, indemnify, and hold harmless Northland Technology from liability for any claims or damages of any kind or description that may arise from any computer work performed on my computer, unless it is caused by severe negligence of Northland Technology or its agent. I understand that Northland Technology is not responsible for any data loss which may occur as a result of work done on my computer.
Your data
While Northland Technology will make all reasonable efforts to preserve your data, due to the nature of technology repair jobs we cannot guarantee this. We can take extra precautions at your request (this may incur extra costs) and will not intentionally erase your data unless requested, but under no circumstances can we offer an outright guarantee against any data loss.
Confidentiality
Northland Technology will keep all files and folders confidential. All client-related information will be held confidential unless there is a legal requirement to disclose. Northland Technology does not retain copies of clients' files or folders.
By engaging us for repair services, you acknowledge that we are not liable for any lost data, or for costs arising from the loss of any data, and in particular we are not liable for the loss of data which you have not told us about.
